They have hands-on experience and specialize in working with adults that are underrepresented in the science workforce. Job Overview: Our client is currently seeking an Operations Specialist to help their program run like a well oiled machine. You'll interface with clients and act as the direct manager for the Educational Support Specialists.The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, can quickly establish a rapport and communicate well, demonstrates an ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment, and has a high degree of self-directedness and self-efficacy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, mission-driven company at a pivotal stage.Responsibilities include:Exhibit professional, caring, and welcoming communication that models patience, compassion, and respect for diverse cultures and experiencesDevelop program goals, policies and processes to achieve the program's objectives and optimize client outcomesFacilitate client intake processOrganize and monitor client assessment and evaluation processesProvide regular program updates, presentations, and reports to staff and stakeholdersCollaborate with staff to identify barriers to achievement of client objectives; create action plans to overcome themIdentify trends and assess opportunities to improve program operations processes and own executionAnticipate and track operational risks and issues and provide strategic solutionsLead the employee hiring, onboarding and training processesCommunicate, collaborate, and consult with the Bookkeeping Specialist to achieve business financial objectivesKeep up to date with the current industry and market regulations, technology, trends and forecastsAdvance the organization's mission and values*The specialist will work both remotely, and in-person. The position will occasionally require travel from one job site to another during the work day. The specialist must be able to perform the outlined job duties and responsibilities that support the performance standards of the position with or without accommodations.Benefits:Benefit eligiblePaid sick & vacation time Mission driven, people-first culture Opportunities for growth & advancementRequired Qualifications/Skills2-3 years of experience in a human services-related field, program operations or project management A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit Minimum of 1 year experience managing a team Experience managing budgets and expensesStatistical analysis experienceGrant and/or proposal writing experience Excellent organizational, verbal communication, and writing skillsAptitude to learn new software and systemsAbility to work seated in front of a computer for long periods of timeAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to successfully pass background checkPreferred Qualifications/Skills:Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Biomedical Engineering or BioengineeringProject Management Professional certificationFamiliarity and experience with online meeting software, online chat/instant messaging, and group sharing platforms (Zoom or WebEx, Slack, Microsoft Teams, etc.)Statistical analysis experienceSpanish fluencyCPR certificationFirst Aid certificationFlexible work from home options available.Compensation: $52,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
