Lead Counselor , you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by providing counseling services to your assigned clients, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions, and promoting an environment of long-term recovery. You will partner with the Clinical Director and Executive Director to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for our residents. Requirements: 4-year degree in a social science discipline with a CSAC Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, marriage, and family therapy, and one year in the field (preferred) CSAC, LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LSAT, or LRIC license preferred CSAC eligible candidates will also be considered Responsibilities: Assess the counseling needs of the client Assess clients for substance abuse diagnosis using DSM criteria to determine the appropriate level of care based on ASAM criteria Develop discharge/continuum of care plans to ensure appropriate movement to different levels of care Document all counseling, education services, assessments, referrals, and follow-up in the client’s clinical record Maintain client caseload, including case management and utilization review updates, treatment planning, and clinical charting Coordinate support services for the client and record services provided Communicate with referral sources (legal, school, employer, etc.) Facilitate interventions for crisis issues using a multidisciplinary team approach Provide individual, group, and family counseling Teach psychoeducation groups Experience with substance use disorder treatment, including medication-assisted treatment Follow Pinnacle Treatment Centers’ policies and federal confidentiality laws (42-CFR, Pt 2) Benefits include 18 days PTO, 401k with company match, ongoing training, comprehensive health benefits, and more.
