Based in St. Louis, MO, and reporting directly to the Vice President, Finance - Grid Automation, the
Director, FP&A
will be a key member of the Hubbell Finance leadership team. This role is responsible for accurate, timely, and transparent financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for the Aclara business. The director will manage a team of finance professionals and collaborate closely with business unit finance directors, controllers, and the Grid Automation executive team. This high-profile position provides strategic and tactical leadership in financial planning and analysis, implements planning and budgeting processes to meet reporting requirements, and delivers meaningful reports to help management evaluate financial resource allocation and areas for improvement. Key Responsibilities include: Oversee development of budgets, forecasts, and supporting analysis for Grid Automation business units. Implement dashboard reports within BI tools to streamline FP&A analysis. Work with management to improve forecast accuracy and accountability. Evaluate development projects for strategic fit and NPV; coach business leaders on financial returns. Develop and manage financial reporting packages, anticipating potential impacts to financials. Monitor financial performance, analyze results, and initiate corrective actions. Analyze complex financial data to provide recommendations for decision-making. Assist in preparing executive presentations on business results and forecasts. Assess strategic initiatives, including M&A transactions and capital strategies. Develop and maintain FP&A processes to improve clarity and consistency, focusing on key drivers like Operating Profit, Cash, Capex, Working Capital, and ROIC. Qualifications and Skills that will help you thrive:
Senior finance experience in leadership roles. Experience with U.S. public companies. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related; MBA preferred. Curiosity and passion for continuous improvement. Experience with SAP and OneStream. Proficiency with Power BI or similar BI tools; strong understanding of data structures. Proven leadership, mentoring, and development skills. Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to lead large initiatives. Experience working with all organizational levels from manufacturing to senior management.
