Job Overview Based in St. Louis, MO and reporting directly to the Vice President, Finance - Grid Automation, the Director, FP&A will serve as key members of the Hubbell Finance leadership team and have responsibility for accurate, timely, transparent financial planning, forecasting and analysis for the Aclara business. This position will manage a team of finance professionals and work closely with the business unit finance directors and controllers as well as the rest of the Grid Automation executive team. This high-profile role will also provide strategic and tactical leadership to the financial planning and analysis activities, implement planning and budgeting in a manner designed to meet reporting requirements, provide timely, meaningful reporting of the business units within Grid Automation and help management evaluate financial resource allocation, areas of focus for improvement, and how external factors may affect the financial results of the business.

#LI-JT1 A Day In The Life

Oversee the development of the budgets, forecasts and supporting analysis for Grid Automation business units.

Implement dashboard reports within BI tools to streamline and improve the accuracy of FP&A analysis

Work with the Grid Automation executive management team and the product line managers drive forecast accuracy and accountability.

Evaluate and analyze development projects for strategic fit and NPV; challenge and coach business leaders to focus on financial return

Develop and manage the financial reporting package. Anticipate and inform on large potential impacts to financials.

Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations for decision making purposes.

Assist in development of Executive level presentations on business results, performance analysis, financial models, forecasts and budgets, etc.

Assess strategic initiatives, including M&A transactions and capital allocation strategy

Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive FP&A processes to improve clarity and consistency Analyze and understand the key drivers of the following areas: (Operating Profit, Cash, Capex, Working Capital, ROIC) including the effects of volume, pricing, cost reductions, etc.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Senior finance professional in a variety of finance leadership positions

Experience with U.S. public company

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or related degree, MBA preferred

Curiosity and passion for continuous improvement

Experience with SAP and OneStream

Power user experience with Power BI or similar BI tools; Strong understanding of data structures and relational databases

Proven ability to lead, manage, mentor and develop all levels of finance team

Strong communication and influencing skills, ability to lead large scale initiatives and projects with both local and executive management; ability to collaborate and communicate with others

Demonstrated experience interfacing regularly with professionals at all levels of the organization, from manufacturing floor to senior executive office
