Acute Care Nurse Practitioner providing night cover for Cardiac and Thoracic
Surgery. Duties include hospital admissions, consults, discharges, rounding and
call as well as respond to patient emergencies for acute care floors and intensive
care units. ACNPs will provide post procedure recovery for CT surgery (ECMO
cannulation, open heart and thoracic procedures) and cardiac patients (heart
catheterization, temporary pacing wire placement, TAVR, Watchman,
Impella/IABP placement, DCCV, pacemaker placement/removal and ablation.
Post procedure care includes reviewing labs, imaging, EKGs and hemodynamics
as well as assessing ongoing clinical status. ACNPs are also responsible for
returning emergent, overnight office calls.
Current TN License or eligible
Current ACLS and BLS
Current DEA or eligible
