Responsible for communicating with cross-functional Software development Teams to create processes related to automation to reduce manual work or to build software products and automation tools related to Network & Infrastructure Engineer. Design and configure computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including capacity assessments for network infrastructure. Design network and computer security measures, and install and upgrade hardware and software solutions for network and data communications. Configure and troubleshoot various network protocols across Layers 2 and 3, including TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, ARP, VLANs, STP, HSRP, VRRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS. Configure and administer Cisco Nexus, Juniper EX, and Siemens SCALANCE switches, as well as Cisco, Juniper, and Siemens routers. Configure and manage firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX) and VPN setups. Implement QoS (Quality of Service) policies to prioritize business-critical applications and ensure optimal network performance. Configure IPsec VPNs, GRE tunnels, and SSL VPNs to establish secure communication channels across remote offices and cloud environments. Deploy encrypted GRE DMVPN tunnels between multiple remote sites using Cisco routers and firewalls (L2TPv2/IPsec). Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Monitor network traffic patterns, identify anomalies, and detect potential security threats in real time using Solarwinds, NAGIOS and NMAP. Implement and administer VMware virtualization i.e vSphere and vCenter.
