We’re Supermoon Bakehouse, a boundary-pushing, design obsessed, sugar-fueled pastry studio in the Lower East Side. We operate on an ethos of craftsmanship, curiosity, and hospitality - and with some big moves planned for 2025, we’re growing our crew. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Front of House All-Star to join our tight knit (and downright delightful) team. 

What You’ll Do:
As part of our FOH team, you’ll be the friendly face (and occasionally, the dancing one) that delivers the Supermoon experience from start to finish:

  • Take and fulfill orders using Square POS (you’ll be fast, accurate, and unflappable).
  • Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and our rotating lineup of signature and seasonal beverages - always to spec.
  • Know the ins and outs of our current menu, including ingredients, allergens, and what makes each item extra special.
  • Pack and quality-check third-party delivery orders (no one wants a smushed cruffin).
  • Scoop gelato like a champion.
  • Communicate clearly with both the FOH and BOH team to keep everything flowing smoothly.
  • Keep the front of house spotless - that includes behind the counter, the dining area, and the sidewalk “runway”.
  • Uphold all health and safety protocols - we’re freakishly clean and proud of it.
  • Help create a good vibes zone. Hospitality isn’t always easy, but we believe in making it fun (for us and for the guests).

What You Bring :

  • 2+ years experience in a high-volume bakery, café, or restaurant.
  • Barista skills that are both efficient and excellent - you know your way around an espresso machine.
  • Availability to work evenings (we stay open until 10p) and weekends (yes, we’re busiest then).
  • A strong work ethic and a deep love for doing things well.
  • Ability to multitask and stay cool in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and positive attitude - no egos here.
  • An eye for detail and a clean-as-you-go approach.
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long shifts, and do it all with a smile.
  • NYCDOH Food Protection Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
