HOURS: To be determined. Work hours will be based on college work-study funding. Scheduled work hours may not conflict with class hours. Position terminates at end of semester or when award is exhausted. Hours may not exceed 30 per week. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must provide extensive customer service with courtesy and concerned attention to individual needs. Must create and maintain an environment that creates a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and student success. Will provide direct assistance to accommodate client needs, so must be able to deal with diverse populations. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to work with deadlines. Demonstrated computer experience, including spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Word Processing. Excellent telephone skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized, creative and self started Supervision:
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Manager of Career Services. SUPERVISION GIVEN: None.
Job Function Provide clerical support to Career Services staff. Now Accepting Applications for the Fall 2025 Semester All applicants MUST meet the following criteria or will be marked 'disqualified':
- a current student at Macomb Community College taking AT LEAST 6 credit hours. - currently have a work-study award given by Financial Aid - If you have not received an award or are not sure, fill out and submit

and contact finaid@macomb.edu with questions. Job Responsibilities -General clerical duties including typing, filing, answering phones, photocopying and faxing.
-Assist with special events
-Update job boards and MacombCareerLink
-Provide information and customer service to clients
-Greet and properly direct clients to appropriate areas and departments
-Assist with CS bulk mailings
-May distribute mail and prepare mailings
-Pick up and deliver items from various departments, as necessary
-May research departmental issues
-Assist in tracking and ordering office supplies and resources
-Assist CS Team in implementing programs
-Cross train in all Career Services areas to insure basic assistance to all clients as needed
-Participate in professional development opportunities as assigned to enhance job skills
-Perform other duties as assigned
Education High school graduate or GED equivalent. Prior office experience helpful, but not required. This position is not eligible for benefits. 01
