At Children's Wisconsin, we are proud to be on the leading edge of robotic assisted surgeries. As we expand, we are looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team as a Team Lead. The Team Lead will serve as the primary coordinator for the Robotics service line and ensure all cases have the necessary equipment and resources. They work closely with surgeons to create preference cards and coordinate vendor support as needed. Our Team Leads also partner with our clinical educator to precept new hires and provide ongoing training to OR staff as needed to ensure staff competence to perform basic cases within the Robotics service line. You will also function as a Surgical Technologist with demonstrated competencies, advanced procedure and technical knowledge in the care of patients in the robotics surgical specialty. This position requires: 2 years of operating room or special procedures experience; which includes 1-2 years clinical experience related to the Robotics specialty. CST certification must be completed within 1 year of hire. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. Analytical skills necessary to resolve complex problems, assist with the development of standards of care and procedures, and evaluate the quality of care. An understanding of CHW health care delivery system and the impact of other health care delivery systems on the patient and family. Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to interact effectively with interdisciplinary health team members, other CHW departments, and consumers. Ability to rotate shifts and/or work flexible hours to meet patient care needs; call is required. Must be able to walk, stand for long periods, over 80% of the assigned work period, as well as lift and position patients weighing up to 75 pounds. This position can be 8 hours or 10 hours. 6:50am-3:20pm 6:50am-5:20pm The position will also participate in weekday, weekend and holiday call requirements. The orientation will be 6 months in length.
