We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our production team on the second shift (typically 3:30 PM

12:00 AM). In this vital role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating a 2D laser cutting machine to precisely and efficiently cut metal parts. Your expertise will be key to maintaining our production flow, ensuring product quality, and supporting our manufacturing goals. Key Responsibilities

Interpret and analyze blueprints, job orders, and material specifications to determine cutting requirements. Set up and operate the laser cutting machine to perform precise cutting operations on various metals. Adjust machine settings and create or modify programs based on specific job needs. Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures to verify quality and accuracy. Perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and minor troubleshooting on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance. Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company guidelines. Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall production objectives. Qualifications

A minimum of one year of experience operating a laser or similar precision cutting machine is required. Familiarity with blueprint reading and the use of precision measurement tools. Ability to understand basic machine programming and material properties. Forklift experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail, a keen awareness of safety, and a quality-first mindset. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Physical Demands & Work Environment

Must be able to stand, crouch, or kneel for extended periods. Regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Work is conducted in a fabrication shop environment that is not climate controlled. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and hearing protection, is required. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $25.00
