Engage as a trusted advisor with the client leadership team, demonstrating responsiveness to priorities while providing actionable strategies and recommendations to solve challenges, improve processes, and achieve client goals.
Serve as the main Point of Contact for Development teams for cross-team collaboration within the Program, removing communication stovepipes, enhancing awareness of work in progress, and promoting collaborative problem solving during enhancements and maintenance efforts.
Enable a relentless improvement mindset for development teams and the entire program through engagement, intellectual curiosity, clarity on empowered contributors, active listening, and embracing change.
Promote actions to mature the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), including:
Aligning the Agile Release Train (ART) with client strategy and goals.
Fostering collaboration among teams to facilitate workflow, remove impediments, and escalate issues.
Encouraging internal engagement in Innovation and Planning to promote continuous improvement.
Managing risks, constraints, and dependencies impacting the ART's goals.
Tracking metrics for data-driven decisions and improvements.
Facilitating ART events like PI Planning and ART Syncs.
Provide backup support to Scrum Masters as needed.
Maintain weekly communication with the client's Product Manager and Product Owners to ensure alignment and risk mitigation.
Manage, monitor, and report on team capacity, utilization, and forecasting to optimize development and release schedules.
Promote strategies for improving code quality, automation testing, test-driven development, security practices, and requirements traceability.
Minimum requirements :
U.S. Citizenship without dual citizenship, due to federal requirements. Successful completion of a government-sponsored clearance process is required prior to start.
Bachelor's Degree.
7+ years of management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft tools.
Ability to think quickly, act swiftly, and adapt.
Experience briefing peers, senior leadership, and groups.
Experience creating and delivering formal contract deliverables across programs with SME input.
Experience managing Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA engineers.
Experience in a scaled Agile environment.
Agile Certifications / Trainings.
Desired skills and qualifications :
Experience with PowerBI dashboards.
Experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or practicing SAFe roles.
Development skills: Java, XBRL, HTML, API Development, JSON, REST services.
Application Modernization experience, transforming monolithic apps to microservices.
Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift.
Experience managing IT/software projects in a financial agency.
Consulting or Systems Integration experience with federal agencies.
SAFe Certifications / Trainings.
