Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a talented
Resident Engineer - Utilities
to join our team for an exciting infrastructure project. The Hudson Tunnel project in NY/NJ has recently been awarded to Parsons and partners. As a Resident Engineer specializing in Utilities, you will oversee the construction and coordination of utilities in this mega tunnel project, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to project specifications. Collaboration with project managers, construction teams, and government agencies will be key to successful project execution. Responsibilities include: Coordinate utility relocations, new installations, and service adjustments. Oversee utility-related construction activities. Ensure work complies with design plans, specifications, and safety standards. Conduct site inspections to verify utility installations meet project requirements and industry standards. Approve contractor work and recommend acceptance or corrective actions. Monitor utility-related costs and maintain adherence to budgets. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum 10 years of experience in utility engineering or construction management, preferably in infrastructure projects. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PE license) is preferred. Experience with utility construction requirements in NJ and NYC, including utility mapping, is a plus. Security Clearance:
