Senior Architectural Construction Administrator

Position Overview As an Architect Construction Administrator, you will oversee the successful execution of architectural projects during construction. Your main role is to bridge design and construction, ensuring projects are built according to plans, specifications, and standards. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate communication, resolve construction challenges, and maintain project quality. Responsibilities: Coordinate all architectural and sub-consultant activities related to construction contract administration, including sketches, permits, field observations, reports, change orders, revisions, and payments. Manage revision processes, ensuring changes are documented, communicated, and incorporated into project documentation effectively. Review and evaluate change order requests, assessing impacts on scope, schedule, and budget, and negotiate resolutions. Review payment applications for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment with project progress and contractual terms. Oversee and coordinate RFI processes, ensuring timely responses and effective communication among stakeholders. Track and verify submittals, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards, and facilitate approvals. Identify and resolve field issues collaboratively, offering practical solutions to keep projects on track. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Utilize architectural software like AutoCAD and Revit to review drawings and streamline processes. Assist in project closeout activities, including inspections, punch lists, and documentation. Maintain accurate records of contract changes, revisions, and related documentation. Review material test reports to ensure standards are met. Support issuance of ASIs and ensure proper implementation of design modifications. Oversee project closeout, ensuring completion of all documentation and tasks. Manage architectural punch lists and coordinate resolution of deficiencies. Prepare and issue substantial completion certificates. Facilitate lessons learned sessions and oversee project archiving for future reference. Continuously seek process improvements and stay updated on industry trends. Knowledge of/Skills in: Change order process, conflict resolution, construction administration, and project management software. Interpersonal skills, interpreting construction documents, managing quality, problem-solving, and team leadership. Qualifications: Valid architectural license and degree in architecture or related field. 10-15 years of construction administration experience in multifamily projects in South Florida. Proficiency in managing RFIs, submittals, and project documentation. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of Procore, AutoCAD, and Revit.
