Duties : Manage and represent clients in complex class action litigation, focusing on employment discrimination, wage and hour claims, workplace privacy, and related matters. Handle class certification, dispositive motions, discovery, and other stages of class action litigation. Advise clients on risk mitigation strategies related to employment law and class action risks. Collaborate with legal team members, including associates and paralegals, to develop case strategies. Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Present cases in court, as well as handle settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes. Stay up to date with legal trends, statutory changes, and best practices within the class action and employment law fields. Guide junior attorneys and assist in their professional development. Requirements : Minimum 7 years of substantive experience in complex litigation, specifically in class action cases. Experience in defending class actions related to employment discrimination, wage and hour, EEOC/DOL matters, and related issues. Solid understanding of class action certification processes and related legal precedents. Ability to think strategically and handle multiple, high-stakes cases simultaneously. Proven track record of handling complex litigation and large case teams. Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills. Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced work environment. Education : Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications : Active Bar membership in the state of California. Skills : Expertise in labor and employment law, specifically in class actions. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
