Job Description The Middle Market Underwriting Account Representative (UAR) is responsible for supporting the underwriting process for new and renewal customers across multiple lines of insurance, including property, casualty, workers compensation, excess lines, and automobile coverages. The UAR collaborates with team members to achieve growth, profit, renewal retention, service, and producer/client management goals for an assigned book of business in the middle market segment of Commercial Insurance. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing account data, interpreting and translating data into rating and issuance instructions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and corporate pricing strategies. The UAR assists with binding and issuing new and renewal business and maintains proper documentation in partnership with the Underwriter. Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and internet navigation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multicultural environment. Proven analytical skills and basic mathematical aptitude. Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills for confident decision-making. Ability to learn quickly, prioritize tasks, and work within time constraints. Strong time management and attention to detail to meet or exceed business goals. Basic knowledge of underwriting principles and policy forms is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Adaptability to a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience Associates Degree or equivalent; a 4-year degree is preferred.
