We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical Data Analytics Architect with a proven track record in designing, building, and optimizing databases and data warehouses. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of hands-on experience in data management, analytics, and reporting, with a strong preference for expertise in Microsoft-based toolsets and technologies. This individual will work closely with business leaders to identify key business indicators, normalize and integrate data from disparate sources, and deliver actionable insights through advanced reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Database and Data Warehouse Architecture:

O Design, build, and maintain robust databases and data warehouse architectures optimized for analytics and reporting.

Ensure scalability, security, and performance across all data storage solutions. Manage schema design, indexing strategies, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using best practices.

Data Integration and Normalization:

Analyze and understand data from multiple heterogeneous sources (e.g., ERP, CRM, transactional, third-party). Develop and implement normalization frameworks to standardize data structures for reporting and analytics. Create data pipelines that ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across the business.

Analytics and Reporting:

Leverage Microsoft analytics tools (such as SQL Server, Power BI, Azure Synapse Analytics, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS) to deliver dynamic reporting and visualizations. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and define key business indicators (KBIs), ensuring that data models and reporting structures are aligned with strategic objectives. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real-time insight into business performance metrics.

Business Analysis and Problem-Solving:

Work backward from business objectives and key performance indicators to determine data requirements and inform data architecture decisions. Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users, translating analytical findings into actionable business strategies. Ensure that reporting tools and analytics solutions effectively support evidence-based decision-making across the organization.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and methodologies for data analytics and business intelligence. Drive process improvements in data management, analytics, and reporting to increase efficiency and accuracy. Mentor and guide junior data professionals, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.

Governance and Compliance:

Implement data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Establish and enforce data security protocols, access controls, and audit mechanisms. Document data flows, architectures, and lineage to support transparency and traceability.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. 10–15 years of progressive experience in data analytics, database development, and business intelligence. Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft data platforms and tools (SQL Server, Azure, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, etc.). Extensive experience designing data models, normalization, and integrating data from diverse sources. Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, ETL best practices, and reporting frameworks. Advanced proficiency with SQL, DAX, and data visualization tools. Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable solutions. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience leading or mentoring technical teams is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills And Attributes

Experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure Data Services. Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). Exposure to advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI-driven business insights. Project management experience in agile or iterative development environments. Certifications in Microsoft data analytics or related technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Power BI Certification).

Analytical Approach and Business Alignment

At the heart of this role is the ability to view data through a business lens—working backward from key performance indicators to determine the data structures and processes needed to surface actionable insights. The successful candidate will possess a strategic mindset, balancing deep technical expertise with a clear understanding of business priorities. They will demonstrate an ability to normalize, cleanse, and enrich data from disparate sources, ensuring that reporting solutions provide meaningful, accurate, and timely information.
