The Director of Sales and Business Development reports to the VP of Global Sales and Business Development and is responsible for the ongoing acquisition and development of customer relationships. Additionally, the role requires a keen understanding of the market, customer demand, and industry intelligence, including a willingness to share knowledge with the rest of the commercial team. The Director of Sales and Business Development must be willing to travel to visit customers and vendors, as well as attend industry conferences. This position requires a self-starter who can work as part of a team and who is willing to assist with all day-to-day operations inherent to a rapidly growing organization. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Establish TrueAero as an approvedsupplierfor selected accounts. Provide guidance and mentorship to the Sales team. Work cross-functionally with the Leasing team. Generate new opportunities for the purchase of assets, driving the process of modeling & bidding. Ensure inventory sales are aligned with market value. Attend industry conferences and networking events. Maintain high energy, positiveattitude,andgreat senseof humor. Other tasks and projects as directed by management. Required Education, Skills, and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, aviation, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial aviation. Proven sales and business development experience, driving revenue growth. Proficient in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate). Knowledge, Behavior, and Abilities: Strong communication, consultation, and relationship management skills, able to build a rapport with our clients and present information clearly and persuasively. Detail orientation with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment. Self-motivated and eager to contribute to a high-performing team. Strategic thinker and problem solver, with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify opportunities, and develop effective solutions. Excellent time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
