San Jose, CA Job Description As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for securing contracts within multi-family communities and multi-tenant properties to enable Client to expand the reach and revenue penetration of wired and wireless home/business services. Contracts include Premise Access Licenses (agreements to allow Client access to evaluate and place equipment) and Marketing Agreements (agreements to co-market Client services). These contracts give Client preferential/exclusive positioning in marketing wired and wireless home/business and mobility services to residential and SMB end users. The prospect customer base includes owners, developers, and builders of multi-family and multi-tenant housing and rental communities, ranging from a few dozen units to tens of thousands of units. These owners offer Client access to residential customers with a propensity to buy high-value home and mobility services. Contracts represent top-line revenue growth for Client. Their value can be measured in terms of prospect access growth, property penetration, revenue per customer per month, and service churn. Work in coordination with local Client Account Management and Network teams to secure License Agreements granting Client access to properties for evaluating, designing, and placing network equipment. Initiate face-to-face customer contact with high-value owners, builders, and developers to present, propose, and secure placement or marketing rights for Client’s services. Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as email to introduce solutions and identify decision makers within target markets. Conduct needs analysis to understand prospects’ pain points and tailor solutions accordingly. Identify key buying influencers, determine budgets and timelines, and build relationships through effective communication and follow-up. Manage data for new and prospective clients, ensuring accurate logging and documentation. Prepare and analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards to ensure ongoing achievement of sales targets. Establish and leverage customer relationships to position Client as the provider of choice for wired/wireless services. Negotiate long-term deals for cooperative marketing and sales programs, creating new revenue opportunities. Understand the competitive environment and Client's technical advantages to present capabilities effectively. Interface with local Network Engineering teams to position Client's programs and explore new construction opportunities. This role involves both fieldwork at prospect/client locations and administrative work from home. You should be passionate about sales, service, and building lasting relationships, with a keen interest in the multifamily market. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or four+ years of relevant work experience. 4+ years of relevant sales experience in BB. Knowledge of fiber and wireless telecommunications. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. Willingness to travel up to % in the local market. Proficiency with Google Suite. Preferred qualifications: Experience managing a sales funnel in an objective-driven environment. Strong consulting skills, including prospecting and value-based selling. Influence skills with stakeholders. Knowledge of the multi-family housing environment.
