NextGen Leads We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will play a key role in supporting the Company’s monthly close process, accounts receivable/payable, expense management, and internal financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, hands-on, and eager to take ownership of accounting operations. This role is positioned to grow into a leadership opportunity. Month-End Close & Financial Reporting Assist in performing monthly close procedures including account reconciliations for key general ledger accounts (e.g. bank, revenue, fixed assets, inter-company, equity, and selective expenses). Book recurring and ad hoc journal entries. Generate financial statements and prepare consolidated financials with appropriate eliminations. Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules. Maintain ongoing coordination with internal stakeholders on budget, vendor, and financial reporting needs. Accounts Receivable (AR) Generate customer invoices and oversee the collections process. Reconcile AR aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances. Accounts Payable (AP) Enter and code vendor bills in accordance with approval workflows. Process payment batches on a regular schedule. Maintain vendor profiles and ensure W-9 compliance. Credit Card & Expense Reporting Oversee company credit card reconciliations and expense reporting through Expensify. Coordinate with employees to ensure timely submission of receipts and approvals. Cash Management Reconcile daily and monthly bank activity. Track and manage operating and reserve cash balances. Running Payroll Partner with HR to prepare and process bi-weekly, including validation of hours, commissions, and adjustments. Review payroll reports and coordinate journal entries for proper expense recognition and departmental allocations. Maintain payroll-related reconciliations and ensure accurate integration with the general ledger. Assist in year-end reporting including W-2 support and benefits true-up. Internal Controls & Process Improvement Evaluate accounting processes and propose enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Ad-Hoc Duties Assist with audits, budget tracking, vendor onboarding, and internal reporting requests as needed. Support cross-functional teams on financial analysis and process changes. Participate in system implementations, process documentation, or team coverage when needed. Handle other finance-related tasks and special projects as assigned by leadership. 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting QuickBooks Online experience (preferred) Experience with Excel and data reconciliation Excellent organizational and communication skills Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems and workflow tools Typing 50 WPM Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, with demonstrated knowledge of Accounting principles through coursework, certification, or relevant experience highly preferred.
