The Senior UX Designer will be a key member of the Planning & Advice UX team within Client Wealth Management group. You’ll lead the design of digital experiences that help clients achieve their financial goals—whether it's building a retirement plan, saving for education, or managing distributions in retirement. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive and elegant solutions, utilizing data-driven insights and design thinking to improve the digital wealth planning journey across Client and E*TRADE platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with UX Leads and product teams to define a clear product vision and maintain high-quality design standards.
Create intuitive, elegant user experiences that support client goals through thoughtful interaction and interface design.
Translate research insights into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed UI specifications.
Leverage and contribute to a robust internal design system to ensure consistency and accessibility across all platforms.
Design solutions that integrate seamlessly across the larger wealth management ecosystem.
Present and defend design decisions to stakeholders across design, product, and development teams.
Partner with researchers to interpret qualitative and quantitative data and apply findings to design strategies.
Mentor junior designers and actively contribute to a collaborative and inclusive design culture.
Take ownership of complex, ambiguous projects and work independently to drive them forward.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field. 3–7 years of experience as a UX Designer contributing to successful product launches. A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design processes and successful outcomes. (Applications without a portfolio link or password will not be considered.) Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design systems. Experience designing within agile, cross-functional teams. Strong storytelling and stakeholder management skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo. Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight timelines. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working independently. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in HCI or a related field. Prior experience in the financial services industry. Advanced prototyping skills in Figma (e.g., conditional logic, variables) or Axure.
