The Rural Hospital Chief Financial Officer will oversee all financial operations of a rural hospital, including financial planning, analysis, and reporting. They will manage the hospital's budget, control expenses, and ensure regulatory compliance. The CFO also plays a key role in strategic planning, working with the CEO and other executives to ensure the hospital's financial health and long-term sustainability. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and manage the hospital’s budget, analyze financial performance, and forecast future financial trends. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and manage tax and other state and federal reporting requirements. Collaborate with outside auditors on annual audits and required filings. Revenue Cycle Management: Manage billing, collections, and accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Work with hospital leaders and external billing support as needed to optimize revenue cycle function. Cost Management: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency while maintaining quality patient care. Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, including regulatory compliance, insurance, and cybersecurity. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to develop and implement financial strategies supporting the hospital’s overall goals. Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the finance department, providing guidance and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information transparently to the CEO, board of directors, and other stakeholders. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in administration, accounting, or finance from an accredited institution approved by the University of South Alabama. At least ten years of progressively responsible healthcare, financial management, and/or accounting experience, preferably in a multi-hospital system. A Master's degree and/or CPA is preferred. Experience in health systems is also preferred.
