Technical Writer will support a high-profile Department of Veterans Affairs program by developing and
maintaining
technical documentation for
a pilot Salesforce Application within the VA
. This role requires
strong communication
skills and the ability to translate complex technical processes into user-friendly documentation. Roles/Responsibilities Develop, edit, and
maintain
comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, system guides, training materials, and policy documentation. Collaborate with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand the documentation requirements. Periodically review and update existing documentation to reflect the latest product updates and industry standards. Participate in design and review meetings to understand product changes and ensure documentation is updated accordingly. Communicate and influence at a senior level with strong written English language skills. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in
English, journalism, communications
, or a related field. Minimum 3
years related work experience
in a
similar role Experience in the
Federal Government contracting industry
or
f
amiliarity
working with the VA is a plus
. Preferred experience working on projects involving Salesforce Applications. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple proposals simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Critical thinking and adaptability to address changing priorities or requirements. Proficiency
in technical writing tools and software. Entire MS Office experience with Office 365 and SharePoint is a bonus but not
required
