What You'll Do: As a Maintenance Technician at Oakbrook, you'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that ensure our properties stay in top condition. From keeping HVAC systems running smoothly to handling plumbing repairs, you'll play an essential role in maintaining the quality of our apartments and community spaces. Key Responsibilities: Manage and repair HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and pool controls
Maintain work orders, schedule contractors, and handle unit turnovers
Perform routine maintenance like grounds care, common area upkeep, and safety inspections
Assist in managing the operating budgets for repairs, maintenance, and capital improvement projects
Respond quickly and efficiently to any emergency, safety, or accident situations
Participate in the on-call rotation schedule as needed
Support other properties in your area when needed

Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
Ability to handle carpentry, painting, and other construction tasks
Strong interpersonal skills to engage professionally with residents and property management teams
High school diploma or GED (Vocational or trade certifications a plus)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Personal hand tools required
