Assistant Director

Position Overview: The Assistant Director Administrative will partner with the Center Director to ensure daily operations run smoothly while also helping to guide the academic, social, and emotional development of our scholars. This leader will work closely with staff and families to maintain high-quality instruction, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a welcoming, vibrant school culture.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Supervise and support teacher-leaders and childcare staff
Conduct classroom observations and performance evaluations
Lead team meetings and facilitate ongoing staff development and training
Communicate effectively with families, prospective clients, and team members
Help develop, review, and implement lesson plans and educational programming
Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements
Assist with enrollment, marketing, and community engagement
Maintain clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate environments
Provide warm, informative tours to prospective families
Partner with the Director to meet organizational goals and solve challenges proactively
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Early Childhood Education or related field (Director Certification preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an early learning or childcare center
Experience in a Quality Rated program is strongly preferred
Prior classroom teaching experience required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CPR and First Aid Certification required
Strong understanding of child development, instructional planning, and safety protocols
Ability to remain calm, flexible, and solution-oriented
