Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide vital speech and language therapy services to students across PreK-12 schools, assisting them in developing communication skills and addressing speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
Develop individualized therapy plans and goals tailored to students' specific needs.
Provide direct therapy services focused on articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and education team members to support students' communication goals.
Utilize evidence-based techniques and engaging therapeutic activities in therapy sessions.
Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans to ensure effective outcomes.
Document therapy sessions and progress accurately and promptly.
Contribute to IEP meetings, providing insights on students' speech and language needs.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Experience in providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
Familiarity with assessment tools and therapeutic techniques used in pediatric speech-language pathology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience in teletherapy or online counseling (preferred).
Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technologies (preferred).
