Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)Location: Bakersfield, CA Experience Required: 2+ years Shift: Day Shift (8 hours per day, 5 days a week) Pay Range: $31 - $34 per hour Job Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team in Bakersfield, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and be proficient in providing patient care, supporting clinical procedures, and assisting healthcare professionals in a fast-paced medical setting. Responsibilities Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and treatments Perform vital signs checks, record patient medical histories, and update electronic health records (EHR) Administer injections, medications, and immunizations as directed Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure medical supplies are stocked Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis Schedule patient appointments and assist with administrative tasks as needed Educate patients on treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow-up care Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines Requirements Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical office or clinical setting Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and EHR systems Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, patient care, and multitasking abilities Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs Job Type: Contract Pay: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour Schedule: 5x8 Day shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
