Job Summary:
This position is part of the Project Management Office (PMO) and provides financial planning, tracking, and reporting support for large-scale IT and business projects. The role involves close collaboration with Project Leads, Unit Leads, and the Enterprise PMO to maintain financial governance and ensure project financials are accurate and aligned with corporate objectives.
Job Responsibilities: Coordinate with the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and IT Budget Controller to resolve issues related to project cost and budget plans Support Large Project Leads (LPLs) and Project Managers in defining, developing, and maintaining project cost plans and budget forecasts Track actual costs versus budgeted/projected costs and highlight discrepancies Assist in preparing financial reports and dashboards for leadership Provide input into resource allocations and financial risk assessments Ensure financial practices comply with internal governance policies and external regulations Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes at the project level Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial transparency and accountability Required Skills:
3+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably in a PMO or project-based environment Strong proficiency in financial modeling, cost tracking, and budget forecasting Experience working with project financials in coordination with project or program managers Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools Knowledge of financial governance standards and reporting practices Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting large IT and business transformation projects Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Clarity PPM) Understanding of CapEx/OpEx accounting in project finance Exposure to ERP systems for financial management (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Certifications:
Not required, but PMO or financial planning certifications (e.g., CFA Level 1, PMP-F, CAPM) are a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
