Data and PMO Project Manager
Location:
Torrance, CA (Hybrid of 4 days/week onsite with 1 day/week remote) Contract Duration -
12 Months Contract
This Data and PMO PM will be working with our client's Solutions and Governance Unit under the Digital Services Development (DSD) division which is
responsible for architecture, data analytics, and governance of customer facing mobile apps and integration of various back offices to expand the digital services.
This Data and PMO Project Manager will be
required to bring information technology talent and creativity to lead the advancement of digital services and bring innovation toward the next evolution technology products.
The ideal candidate would be a PM who can perform both Data Analytics and PMO management. This Project Manager must be highly motivated and experienced with data analysis, data pipeline development, and report visualization . This Project Manager will also have opportunity to develop project management standard, execution policies, and deliverables to reach the client future-focused goals.
Responsibilities will include the following: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet business expectations ssemble project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts daily. Identify resource needs, perform quality reviews; and escalate functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Create and present business case and deliverables to executives: Manage and understand the scope and requirement. Manage project plans and project milestones. Manage the budget, cost plan, and variance. Manage complex projects. Lead the PMO team to document the department policies, set the project management standards, and best practices. Collaborate with project managers to manage project methodologies Required Skills and Expertise:
5-10 years of experience managing complex projects. Experience serving as a Project Manager for Data Analytics and PMO related initiatives
. Expertise in data analysis, data pipeline development, and report visualization Proven ability with developing project management standards, execution policies, and deliverables to achieve future goals. Skilled in managing project plans, project milestones, and budgets. Well-versed in using MS PowerPoint to create presentations. Experience creating business cases and presenting information to leadership and executive team members. Clear presentation, and communication skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate with stakeholders. Preferred Skills and Expertise:
Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred.
