INNOVIM Defense Services is seeking a Linux System Administrator Functional Lead to join our team supporting the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) program at the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). INNOVIM supports the development, implementation, sustainment, and operations of enclaves and systems that manage missile defense training, events, analysis, and operations.
Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO Position Closes: 8/7/25 Relocation Assistance: NONE
The candidate will:
Design, implement, troubleshoot, and sustain Linux based physical and virtual machines for the Missile Defense Space Center Administer container platforms such as OpenShift, Docker, and Podman as-well-as maintain multiple repositories/ registries Oversee and perform the hardening of operating systems and STIG compliance Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure system administration and compliance practices are maintained Manage/delegate tasking derived from project, sustainment, and break/fix sources Manage/mentor a team responsible for ensuring system software installations, maintenance, break/fix activities, and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements. Develop and maintain system administration procedures and baseline configuration documentation. Focus on creating, upgrading, managing, and sustaining physical and virtual workstations. Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. The selected candidate may be assigned as an employee for one of our teammate companies. Basic Requirements:
Must have 5, or more, years of directly related experience to UNIX and/or Linux systems administration Must have a computing environment Linux certification Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+) Must have an active DoD Secret, or higher, Security Clearance Desired Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s, or higher, in an IT or any STEM related field Have experience administering a Red Hat Linux environment
This position is expected to pay $130,000 - $170,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
