If you're ready to create excitement and drive what's next in the industry, we'd love to hear from you.The Technical Support Engineer serves as a critical technical resource responsible for optimizing manufacturing operations through advanced troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and process improvement initiatives. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure maximum equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and safety compliance across all manufacturing lines.Key ResponsibilitiesLead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production equipment failures and process deviationsDesign, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtimeConduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for new equipment installations and modificationsDevelop and execute comprehensive installation, commissioning, and validation plans for manufacturing equipmentAnalyze equipment performance data and implement efficiency improvements to optimize OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)Create technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using AutoCAD and other engineering softwareCollaborate with engineering teams on equipment modifications and process improvementsEvaluate and recommend equipment upgrades, replacements, and new technology implementationsProvide technical mentorship and training to maintenance technicians, operators, and cross-functional teamsCoordinate with Central Spare Parts (CSP) department on parts inventory optimization and technical updatesEnsure all work adheres to OSHA, company safety standards, and industry best practicesMaintain compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standardsAll other duties as assignedQualifications7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing and packaging equipment maintenance and repair1+ year of supervisory experience in a technical capacityBackground in machine design, installation, repair, and PLC knowledgeProficient in AUTOCADAnalytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to travel regionally and internationally, 25-30%Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related fieldProfessional certifications in relevant technical areas (PLC programming, industrial maintenance, etc.)Demonstrated experience with high-speed production equipment in a manufacturing environmentAdvanced knowledge of AutoCAD for technical drawings and equipment modificationsStrong background in machine design, installation, and repair methodologiesExperience with pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systemsWhat We OfferBase salary and bonus programMedical, dental, vision, life insurance effective on date of hireGenerous 401(k) PlanDefined Contribution PlanPaid vacation and paid holidaysTuition reimbursementOfficial Contact InformationEmail: All official emails will come from an @Swisher.com addressWebsite: Verify job listings and contact details on https://careers.swisher.comImportant: We will never contact you via Teams, Zoom, or Google Meets.
