Senior Director of Residential Services Overview: Melmark New England is seeking a mission-driven, strategic leader to oversee our residential services for children and adults. This position is a senior leadership role responsible for the full operational, clinical, and regulatory oversight of our residential programs. The Senior Director reports to the Executive Director of Melmark New England and supervises the Assistant Directors of Residential Services. The ideal candidate will bring a depth of experience in program development, applied behavior analysis, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary leadership. This is a unique opportunity to influence service delivery models and ensure high-quality, person-centered supports that align with Melmark's commitment to excellence.
Schedule and Salary Information: • Salary commensurate with experience and credentials • On-call and flexible hours required, including occasional evenings/weekends
Requirements: • Master's degree required; Doctoral degree in Psychology, Special Education, or ABA preferred • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required • 10-15 years of experience in clinical service delivery and supervision in residential and/or educational settings • 7-10 years of experience in program management, staff supervision, and interdisciplinary leadership • Expertise in applied behavior analysis, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral health • Experience managing regulatory requirements from DEEC, DDS, and DPH
Senior Director of Residential Services Responsibilities: • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for children's and adult residential programs • Supervise Assistant Directors and ensure clinical, operational, and educational quality across all residential services • Oversee regulatory compliance and licensure processes with DEEC, DDS, and DPH • Lead residential staff training, supervision, evaluation, and disciplinary processes • Ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of IEP and ISP goals • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support holistic service delivery • Contribute to applied research, present at professional conferences, and support publication efforts • Serve as a senior member of the referral and admissions process • Represent Melmark in strategic planning, professional development partnerships, and graduate-level instruction opportunities
