Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker B.E.S.S.T (Social Emotional Program) Start Date: September 1, 2025 We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative School Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor to join our Mansfield High School's Social Emotional Therapeutic Program, B.E.S.S.T (Believe Every Student Succeeds Today). This role is key to promoting mental health, emotional well-being and academic success of student's through individual support, group interventions, and social coaching. The ideal candidate is a strong advocate for students, strong communicator with families and outside agencies/supports as well as skilled in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and restorative practices. Responsibilities include: • Provide school counseling services in individual, group, and classroom settings to general education students, as well as students with IEP's and 504 plans • Provide services to address the social and emotional barriers to student achievement and in accordance with intervention, special education and 504 plans • Provide services to help develop age-appropriate skills and promote social, emotional, and academic growth in children in the school setting • Evaluate student skills and write reports to interpret/summarize findings • Work collaboratively with Special Education staff in the social and emotional classroom • Work collaboratively with General Education staff to support the implementation of our school-wide social and emotional learning curriculum • Attend meetings as assigned • Strong data-collection skills to help to inform decisions for students
