We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Structural Steel Quality Control Inspector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all structural steel components meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct visual inspections of structural steel components throughout the fabrication process to ensure compliance.
Perform dimensional inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in welding, quality control, or a related field is .
Proven experience in structural steel fabrication, welding, or quality control, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
Certification as an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials.
Frequently required to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
The position operates in a manufacturing or warehouse setting with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
May involve exposure to dust, dirt, and noise from machinery.
