Job Description
We’re partnering with a well-established, mid-sized general contractor in the Greater Boston area to help them identify a Project Manager with experience in sitework and civil scopes. This company has been steadily growing and maintains a strong reputation in the public construction space, with a diverse project portfolio across academic, affordable housing, municipal and historical restoration markets.
The team self-performs key scopes—including carpentry and sitework—which gives them greater control over schedule and quality. The leadership team fosters a collaborative, growth-minded culture where employees are trusted to own their responsibilities and develop long-term careers.
Responsibilities :
Lead project management efforts on sitework-focused scopes from preconstruction through closeout
Collaborate with internal teams and field crews to ensure smooth coordination of self-performed work
Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communications
Drive weekly project meetings and ensure clear documentation and issue tracking
Assist with estimating and buyout of sitework packages as needed
Ensure safety, quality, and compliance throughout the construction process
Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in construction, with prior experience in sitework
Proven track record of managing projects ranging from $5M–$50M in value
Experience working with public owners (state agencies, municipalities, housing authorities, etc.) is a plus
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
