We are seeking an
Electronics Technician 4
to join our
Security and Electronic Systems (SES)
business unit. As part of the
SES
Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio-visual systems, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets. Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems, performing preventive maintenance, inspections, evaluations, and inventory management. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to: Leading teams on large, complex installation projects with limited supervision. Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORM, and safety audits. Installing and maintaining equipment at local and global levels per design packages. Programming and installing head-end equipment for access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems. Troubleshooting and isolating system and hardware issues locally and globally. Leading on-site software commissioning and testing. Performing take-offs from project drawings. Creating, documenting, and tracking RFIs. Providing design assist and feedback. Documenting daily reports and project progress. Communicating project and team issues to management. Creating and managing project schedules. Integrating IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems. Forecasting and managing project labor hours. Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members. Guiding and mentoring technicians. Qualifications Clearance/Citizen Type:
Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract stipulations. Position / Candidate Requirements: Valid driver's license required. Position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle; candidates must have an acceptable driving record. Education: HS diploma or GED, or Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 hours), or Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program, or Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program, or Additional three years of electronics installation/maintenance experience. Required experience: 10+ years in electronics installation and maintenance on multiple systems and customer programs. Other requirements include strong communication skills, teamwork experience, time management, and proficiency in MS Office. Certifications in vendor-specific systems are advantageous. Abilities: Ability to relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance. Work at heights up to 60 feet, climb ladders, scaffolds, and lifts. Perform physical activities such as walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching. Good vision and hearing, ability to communicate effectively in English. Recognize problems and apply general rules to specific issues.
