first shift (8am-5pm)

mid shift (10am-7pm)

second shift (3pm-11pm)

QC Inspector/Technician is responsible for ensuring that the product is within quality standards and specifications. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining quality and safety standards; visual inspections measurements and functional testing of the product; recording data/test results to validate conformance; and assisting with quality related reports, reviews, and audits as needed.

The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Other related duties may be assigned to meet the business needs.

Performs inspections of purchased parts, sub-assemblies or finished company products according to

well defined criteria and specifications

Uses measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical inspection and computerized

inspection devices as needed

Rejects and returns nonconforming materials and/or products that do not meet applicable

specifications and requirements

Documents inspection results by completing applicable inspection reports and logs

Responsible for keeping measuring equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling

for calibrations and repairs when required

Maintains manufacturing and inspection related documentation

Performs in-process inspections

Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standard operating procedures and

complying with legal regulations

Participates in quality control/assurance related activities

Participates in performance improvement activities, utilizes resources efficiently and effectively takes

responsibility for own learning needs

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

1-3 years of previous work experience in a QC inspector position preferred

Must have a working knowledge of measuring instruments

Ability to articulate clearly, professionally, and effectively

Ability to prioritize and multi-task with little supervision

Previous work experience should demonstrate good interpersonal skills, self-motivation, flexibility, detail-oriented work style, professional appearance and attitude, and ability to effectively communicate with customers/clients at all levels.

Must have legible handwriting

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to tug, pull or lift up to fifty (50) pounds

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Frequent to constant use of their hands and fingers, to handle or feel, and to manipulate in a variety of different body positions or postures

Frequent to constant holding, grabbing, grasping, pinching, turning or otherwise working with hands and fingers ranging from dexterous to forceful in nature

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to judge dimensions and spatial relationships
