Senior Assembly Lead.

This role ensures that the production department meets its production, quality assurance and scheduling goals by supporting the supervisor in direction of production activities on the assembly lines. The Sr. Assembly Lead must be flexible to adapt to changes in scheduling and able to handle high stress and high-speed decision-making scenarios. The Sr. Assembly Lead must have excellent working knowledge of their organization and can complete paperwork as required by their team or supervisors.

Your main responsibilities:

Provides backup relief for Assembly supervisor during supervisor's absence Serves as subject matter expert in work area; coaches and guides Assembly line leads in day-to-day work Fills in for Assembly Line Leads as needed Ensures employees are provided with clear instructions/training along with the correct tools and PPE required; explains and demonstrates assembly line procedures to employees needing assistance or reinforcement Assists in conducting daily line and shift meetings - safety, reviews metrics, and assigns operators to workstations Assists supervisor in assessing part quality and troubleshooting quality concerns; provides escalated quality inspection of materials received and parts produced within department Ensures all employee labor transfers are conducted in a timely and accurate manner Ensures safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported on time; assists in investigation of safety incidents Reinforces the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with all team members Works with supervisor and other leads to adjusts staffing as needed, to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner Reviews production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities Performs all shift reporting including but is not limited to line clearance report, hourly production board update, foam parameter checks, and end of the shift report Reports all safety, productivity, quality, equipment, and staffing issues to the supervisor prior to shift start up or at product change over; when needed verifies that DJR (Discrete Job Report) matches each component listed and the finish product as a whole Ensures the goal for Efficiency and Attainment numbers are met Fills out Scrap Tickets (Non-Conforming Material Ticket) during and at the end of the shift, ensuring they are filled out properly and accurately Assists Line Lead in ensuring that ALL production is counted and tagged and sent to warehouse at the end of run Finds solutions for technical problems associated with assigned processes Performs assembly activities including screw gunning, foaming, cleaning and drain plug operation Makes minor adjustments to products by using screw-guns, case sealer, strap machine, packaging/tape machine, and applying labels Reviews Oracle system for demand of components Follows all safety policies and procedures Complies with the company's quality policy at all times Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives. Maintain good housekeeping practices in their work area and all common areas Other duties as assigned What do we offer?

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

A suitable background would be a

solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing assembly or rework, including one (1) year in a lead/supervisory role English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English. Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide Physical Demands: Able to lift a maximum of 35 lbs. multiple times a day during a 12-hour shift floor to waist level Able to lift overhead up to 35 lbs. repetitively Bend and stand in difficult positions up to 12 hours Able to push up to 35 lbs. on rollers or wheels Minimum height requirement of 60 inches Work environment: High noise level, hot and humid during summer months, cold during winter months To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:
