The individual on the job is responsible for assisting Tropical Financial Credit Union in achieving its purpose of guiding members successfully through the financial marketplace. The Member Solutions Analyst is expected to initiate and nurture relationships and build connections with individuals or entities relevant to their collection focus. Additionally, accountability is crucial as collectors acquire, preserve, and manage valuable decisions. Their role extends to problem-solving, as they must navigate sourcing, authentication, and conversation challenges. Successful Member Solution Analysts must exhibit a dynamic blend of interpersonal skills, origination understanding, and a passion for their chosen field, enabling them to excel in a role that demands both critical thinking and an appreciation for the cases they seek to attain and safeguard.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: As a liaison for Tropical Financial Credit Union, the Member Solutions Analyst provides quality service for members to preserve and safeguard the credit union's assets from losses. This position requires the incumbent to demonstrate a commitment to exceptional world-class member service and teamwork. The Member Solutions Analyst is responsible for the following efforts: Initiating collection efforts through legal action, bankruptcies, garnishments, tax levies, injunctions, child support enforcement, and any related function, prepare documentation and procedures following legal requirements. In addition, the position performs various duties requiring knowledge of methods and techniques for receiving and filing court documents and explaining court rules and guidelines to the members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Deliver service that meets the Service Standards defined by Tropical Financial Credit Union and achieve goals established through the Performance Management Process. Adheres to established department and organizational policies, procedures, objectives, metrics, and quality standards to ensure consistent operations of the Member Solutions Department. Adhere to financial laws on the regulation of debt collection. Contact and communicate effectively with members by phone to negotiate and implement debt recovery plans. Interprets Bankruptcy notifications and coordinates with legal departments to compile all claims, maintain a log of all correspondence with members, and provide all required information on loans and titles. Create and analyze plans and strategies for collecting member debts. Ability to restructure members' debt payments by offering all alternatives available at the Credit Union. Assess, evaluate, and analyze accounts for repossession assignment, charge-off, and repayment plans for overdrawn accounts, extensions, workout loans, and legal proceedings if debt recovery plans fail. Interpret Garnishment, IRS Levy, and Child Enforcement language to determine the processes' scope, jurisdiction, applicability, and timeframe. Research and investigate suspicious accounts to reduce fraud and mitigate risk. Interact daily with various operational, accounting, and management areas to review, research, and correct operational problems with member accounts. Accountable for the accurate and timely processing of member transactions, accomplishing individual production goals, and minimizing potential losses. Determines proper action in various complex situations and circumstances, including negotiating settlements. Initiate repossession and other legal proceedings if debt recovery plans fail. Review and explain court-related documents for compliance with application regulations, policies, and procedures, informs attorneys and paralegals relative to the completing, filing, issuing, and serving of documents including but not limited to BBB, Office of Financial Regulations, IRS Levies/Garnishments and Department of Child Enforcement. Accountable for ensuring the scope of IRS Levy and Child Enforcement (Support) orders are handled appropriately and accurately to mitigate the potential loss to the Credit Union. Education and/or Experience:

Three or more years of Collection experience in banking or related financial services environment. High School diploma or general education (GED) required, two years technical certificate or associate degree required; will consider experience instead of education. Practical working knowledge of Florida Consumer Protection Act-number 559.72, Fair Debt Collections Act, Student Loan Program, Chapter 7 and 13 Bankruptcy Code, Federal Wage Garnishment Law, and other codes and laws about debt collections. Intermediate abilities in MS Office - Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, and automated collections applications.
