As Senior Director of Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory excellence across this historic development. You'll oversee the day-to-day compliance operations, drive strategic partnerships, and lead a team of dedicated specialists to uphold the integrity of affordable housing programs, including HUD, LIHTC, and Tax-Exempt Bond initiatives. With a strong focus on social responsibility, this role will also support housing solutions for formerly displaced residents and specialized programs including 15/15 and Our Space initiatives. Knowledge of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), HUD, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Tax Exempt Bond programs.

Oversee the day-to-day compliance operations for a 2,500-unit, 100% affordable master-planned development, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and legal requirements for the largest such project in 40 years Manage compliance for specialized programs including the 15/15 Program and Our Space program, ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and tenant eligibility verification Work closely with Social Service Partners to support 133 units designated for formerly displaced residents, ensuring compliance with relevant social service and housing assistance programs Lead a team of approximately 10 Compliance Specialists to monitor and ensure the project's ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations, including conducting regular audits and assessments Provide expert guidance on compliance issues, resolving challenges promptly to ensure the development's success and continued regulatory adherence Execute front-line compliance functions, including the review of initial move-in and first-year resident files, as well as ongoing recertification files, to ensure adherence to federal, state, and city regulatory program requirements-including Fair Housing regulations Participate in preparation of Low Income Housing Tax Credit / Management Occupancy Review's / Agency and partnership reviews Partner with public agencies, consultants, and industry experts to strengthen the goals of the property Train new team members in compliance functions Review LIHTC compliance documentation, including monthly, quarterly, and annual owner certifications Examine tenant files in preparation for LIHTC file audits and Management Occupancy Reviews (MOR), and prepare and coordinate responses to findings from agency audits Stay current with Federal, state and local updates about to various program requirements Prepare and update Compliance Narratives to summarize regulatory as well as state, city and local requirements for properties Assist in preparing and submitting Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plans, Tenant Selection Plans, and lease packages, etc. Review contracts to ensure compliance with Company's policies Monitor legal cases Ensure affordable housing occupancy rates are minimal 5 days onsite - Queens, NY location Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Anticipated base salary range: $170,000 - $190,000

Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.

Qualifications

TaCCs or COS required Knowledge Yardi preferred Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Bachelor's degree required, JD preferred Familiarity with HUD, HPD, HDC, EDC, DHCR, 15/15, HRA, CityFHEPS Detail oriented, organized and strong analytical skills Creativity and initiative to work both independently as well as within a team while able to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment NY Notary License
