Location: Akron OH 44305 – 100% On-site Payrate: $18/hr Required Availability: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Member Services Advocate | Summary and Highlights: The Member Services Advocate will support a healthcare organization’s Medicare Advantage members. This is a front-line position handling member inquiries via phone and electronic channels, helping resolve concerns related to benefits, enrollment, billing, claims, and more.

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Member Services Advocate | Responsibilities:

Provide courteous and empathetic service to members, answering questions and resolving concerns efficiently. Handle inbound inquiries related to enrollment, eligibility, authorizations, and claims. Record all member interactions and escalate complex issues as needed. Consistently meet or exceed productivity and quality standards. Apply the 3 E’s in all interactions: Empathy, Education, Empowerment. Maintain working knowledge of internal systems to effectively resolve issues. Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all communications and documentation.

Member Services Advocate | Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or GED (Verifiable). Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days. Experience: 1+ year in customer service, preferably within healthcare, insurance, call center, or administrative environments. Tech Savvy: Comfortable navigating Windows, customer tracking software, and standard office tools. Soft Skills: Strong communication, time management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods, bend/stoop/stretch as needed, and lift up to 20 lbs.
