Position Overview
The
IT Business Analyst / Scrum Master
will serve a dual role-facilitating Agile delivery while bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, clinical stakeholders, and data teams to define requirements, manage backlogs, and ensure the successful delivery of technology projects aligned with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities Business Analyst Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements from key stakeholders. Translate healthcare business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications. Create user stories, process flows, wireframes, and other documentation to support product development. Collaborate with product owners to prioritize and groom the product backlog. Conduct gap analyses and recommend scalable process improvements. Assist in UAT planning, execution, and validation of solutions prior to deployment. Scrum Master Responsibilities
Act as Scrum Master for 1-2 cross-functional Agile teams, facilitating all ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, etc.). Remove blockers and foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment. Ensure adherence to Agile best practices and help coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles. Track sprint progress, velocity, and deliverables using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps. Drive continuous improvement within the team through retrospectives and feedback loops. Qualifications
3-5+ years
of combined experience as a Business Analyst and/or Scrum Master in IT or product teams. Healthcare experience is required
- deep understanding of clinical workflows, EMRs, healthcare operations, or value-based care strongly preferred. Strong experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical deliverables. Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing backlogs. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Experience in SQL is a plus but not required. Microsoft and any other agile software. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent) preferred not required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
