Position Overview: We are seeking an
Industrial Technician
to join the Maintenance Department at our Frederick, Maryland manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is primarily responsible for mechanical maintenance, with a preference for candidates who also have experience in electrical systems. The technician will support multiple production lines by performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation. Key Responsibilities:
Prioritize safety in all tasks, following all lock-out/tag-out procedures and promoting a zero-incident culture. Ensure full environmental compliance during all maintenance activities. Perform mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting across manufacturing lines and supporting systems. Execute scheduled maintenance and repair tasks according to work plans and best practices. Apply precision maintenance techniques including alignment, balancing, and accurate measurements. Complete preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication, inspections, cleaning, and scheduled component replacements. Rebuild mechanical components such as pumps, valves, and air cylinders as needed. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues. Maintain and support operation of critical process control and environmental systems. Respond to both planned maintenance and unexpected production downtime. Participate in on-call coverage and occasional holiday or emergency support. Work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, with overtime as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Technical certificate or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field preferred. Ability to become certified in operating powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts, aerial lifts). Precision maintenance or reliability-related certifications are a plus. Experience with electrical systems up to 480V is preferred. Welding experience (MIG, TIG, or stick) is a plus. Familiarity with crane operation, rigging techniques, and standard hand signals is desirable. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP preferred. Strong computer literacy, including comfort navigating and using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Benefits: Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance.
