Responsibilities

Workstation Management Services offers endpoint management services through secure baseline configurations in a one-to-many manner and provides campus IT professionals with secure remote support services.

Responsible for providing quality, effective, reliable, and responsive back-end support to ITS customers and University community at large for ITS services offered which impact compliance with University information security policies, payment card industry (PCI) security standards, NIST 800-171 security standards, and overall vulnerability management. Coordinate and translate needs and requirements into achievable and realistic long-term IT goals and strategies. Provide reporting mechanisms to key stakeholders such as ITS senior management and the Information Security and Privacy Office (ISPO).

Responsible for implementation and maintenance of services for workstation administration for both Windows and Mac systems. Coordinates implementation of, changes to, and daily operations of CTS departmental and university-wide services and subsystems.

Responsible for identifying vulnerabilities utilizing ITS standard tools. Remediation/mitigation and reporting of vulnerabilities within prescribed timelines per University and ITS policies, guidelines and processes pertaining to information security, vulnerability management and certain specific security standards, as applicable.

Coordinate with position manager/supervisor in programs which would disseminate information concerning information security policy making, workstation management and continuity of operations/disaster recovery.

Assist ITS, including CTS and ISPO, in development of procedures related to vulnerability management, PCI and NIST 800-171 activities. Assist ITS management in developing effective and efficient workstation management.

Telephone/personal/electronic communication with all FSU entities that implement ITS vulnerability management services and/or CTS departmental services, or access CTS services. Telephone/personal/electronic communication with other FSU entities and vendors as needed.

Assist in other duties, as required. A State vehicle, golf cart, or utility vehicle will be used to reach site premises. A valid driver's license will be needed in order to operate vehicle.

Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, incident management, and vulnerability management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.)

A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to think critically and strategically. Experience with vulnerability management.
