Job Profile Summary
Under limited supervision, this position supports and maintains critical enterprise applications essential to our institution's operations. This position will focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO) integration, application administration, user support, and the performance and security of our enterprise systems.
Minimum Education: Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Minimum Experience:
Four to six years of hands-on experience in IAM or enterprise application support roles. Experience with one or more directory services (Active Directory, LDAP) Experience administering or migrating to cloud-based IAM platforms (e.g., Entra ID, Okta, OneLogin) Familiarity with at least two authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, Kerberos, etc.) Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python in a real-world support or automation context. Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills related to authentication, RBAC, or application access workflows Minimum Certification:
Microsoft Azure AZ-900 (Fundamentals) - Preferred: Microsoft Azure AZ-104 (Administrator) required. Note: Certification titles evolve over time. Equivalent prior versions will be considered. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of IAM principles and their application in an enterprise setting. Verbal and Written Communication Skills, Critical Troubleshooting Analysis of Systems, Critical and Logical Thinking Skills, Expertise in Computer Systems. Advance knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures for installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, repairing microcomputer hardware, software configuration, network components, and Windows Operating systems are required. Ability to interact and effectively communicate with a diverse employee and student population Ability to manage own work to unit performance standards for cost, quality, and output (e.g., demonstrated supervisory and organizational skills, ability to set priorities for self and others, schedule work activities, allocate resources and provide appropriate feedback) Essential Functions:
IAM & Security - 40% - Manage and automate identity lifecycle processes, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access audits. - Administer and secure Entra ID (Azure AD) tenants and manage authentication flows including SAML, OAuth, and OIDC. - Support migrations from OneLogin to Entra ID for SSO-based applications. - Implement and support Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) strategies. - Maintain documentation and processes for identity governance, provisioning logic, and approval workflows. - Participate in audit reviews, risk assessments, and enforce security compliance. Enterprise Application Support - 15% - Administer enterprise platforms including Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, TeamDynamix, DocuSign, Alertus, Everbridge, etc. - Assist with role and permission assignments and evaluate feature changes across platforms. - Monitor application performance and apply security patches and updates. System Administration - 15% - Assist in administering Active Directory environments including group policy, OUs, and security groups. - Collaborate on cross-platform directory syncing and cloud identity management. - Understanding of Microsoft Intune is a plus. Scripting and Automation - 15% - Write and maintain PowerShell, Python, or C# scripts for automation (e.g., access reviews, onboarding/offboarding). - Automate IAM tasks where applicable using APIs or integration platforms. User Support, Training & Documentation - 15% - Provide Tier 2/3 support for identity and access-related issues. - Develop user-facing and internal documentation, knowledgebase articles, and technical runbooks. - Train campus stakeholders on system capabilities and request processes.
