Software Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Sr. Technical Project Manager with a major corporation in Glendale, CA. 2-3 days per week on-site.
22+ month contract Pay Rate: $85 - $90/hr DOE
Description : The DX Technology & Digital team is responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives.
The Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management for highly complex and strategically prioritized projects
What You Will Do: Drives execution and delivery of technical projects through full delivery life cycle ensuring project is delivered timely and on-budget. Works with engineering teams, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, and leadership to establish processes across all program areas that will ensure success on strategically prioritized projects and improve efficiency. Defines, optimizes, and manages Agile project management ceremonies and processes for large project teams. Manage hardware/software procurement of assigned projects Develops a program plan comprised of parallel projects and multiple project managers that collectively produce work that has significant business impact Monitors & adjusts program plan to respond to unplanned changes, ensuring program is progressing to meet business goals Creates governance practices and provides senior-level leadership oversight and control for the program Implements fiscal practices and controls, authorizing, recording, and reporting on program expenditures & ROI Develops infrastructure needed to support the program
Basic Qualifications: 7+ years of technical project/program management experience working with technical teams developing enterprise class solutions Technical aptitude: o Understanding of Cloud, APIs, services, database technologies, technologist roles and responsibilities, capabilities & platform dependencies, software development lifecycle, engineering and/or product development o Influence and negotiation, communication, professional maturity & organizational savvy, relationship building, dependency mapping o Hands-on experience with practices such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall as well as extensive experience with pragmatic blending of styles to facilitate collaboration and delivery o Deep understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD) o Significant experience in coaching and mentoring teams on project management practices including Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall o Excellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects o Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and time management skills with attention to detail o Experience managing large budgets Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Technical project management experience Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Experience in supporting large-scale, global software development programs Agile Certifications ie CSM; ACP; CPO; SAFe; LeSS Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
