JOB TITLE: CNA SCHEDULER

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF NURSING
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living in order to
promote resident independence and dignity. Also responsible for facility scheduling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, and perform nail care of any residents assigned Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse Lift, move, and transfer residents as required Answer call lights in a timely manner Assist or feed residents Keep resident clean and dry, toileting or providing incontinent care Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents Monthly schedule development based on facility budgeted PPD Complete and post daily schedule Complete daily staffing sheet postings and maintain one year of postings Work to replace staff for Vacation/sick requests, call in's, absenteeism Track attendance of clinical team members Work on the floor as a CNA or CMA as needed Participate in on call schedule as assigned Understand and adhere to the guidelines of "Residents Rights" and assure resident safety Other duties as assigned Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents Preferred:
Experience in long term care/skilled nursing CPR Certified
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to safely perform movements such as pushing,
pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable
accommodations
WORK SCHEDULE: As assigned; including some weekends evenings and holidays
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Clinical
