Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team at a clinic attached to a hospital. This role involves preparing for patients, managing patient charts, and performing clinical duties such as taking vitals, administering injections, and handling patient paperwork. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls, answering medication questions, and processing prescription refills.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare daily schedules and patient charts, ensuring rooms are prepped and stocked. Perform patient rooming, take vitals, review medical histories and allergies, and complete patient paperwork. Administer injections, including flu and biologic vaccines. Triaging calls, managing prescription refills, and placing necessary orders through EMR WebChart. Collaborate effectively with the Medical Assistant counterpart to manage approximately 20-40 patients and 30 calls per day. Qualifications
1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting. Comfortable with working independently and effectively in a small team environment. Proficient in using EMR systems, specifically WebChart. Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Dress Code
Scrubs of any color or pattern, or business casual attire. Closed-toe shoes.
