Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Member Services Associate. This role focuses on providing exceptional support and service to Medicare-eligible individuals, particularly seniors. The primary responsibility is to ensure members have a seamless experience with Medicare Advantage health plans by delivering personalized and coordinated care.

What You'll Do As a Member Experience Representative, you'll spend about 95% of your time on inbound calls and 5% on outbound calls. Your main goal will be to provide outstanding support by explaining plan procedures, benefits, services, and other essential information to members. You'll also help members with requests like network provider changes, transportation, and other assistance. You'll answer incoming calls efficiently and within department goals, accurately documenting all call details in real-time, including caller information, reason for call, actions taken, and resolution. You'll address complaints and grievances in line with company policy and work to resolve dis-enrollment/cancellation requests, following up as needed. You'll also support member outreach programs and consistently practice excellent customer service with a positive and helpful attitude.

Your Schedule Our contact center operates 24/7, 365 days a year, so flexibility is key. Initial training runs for five weeks, from Monday, August 4th to Friday, September 5th. During this time, you'll train Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST. No time off will be approved during this initial training period. Post-training, you'll work 8-hour shifts that can be assigned any day of the week, starting between 8:00 AM and 12:00 AM (midnight) PST. All work hours are in PST, regardless of your physical location. Your specific work schedule will be assigned during the fourth week of training and generally won't change frequently. If your schedule does change, you'll receive at least three weeks' advance notice. Examples of potential 8-hour shifts include: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM. You may be required to work on holidays; volunteers are sought first, and assigned holiday shifts receive holiday pay. No time off can be approved for the entire month of January.

Fully remote, client will provide equipment.

What We're Looking For We require a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of customer service/telemarketing experience. You must be able to type 35+ WPM. You'll also need a reliable internet connection with 50 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload speeds. A private, dedicated workspace with minimal distractions is essential. We are looking for individuals with exceptional communication skills and a clear phone presence. Empathy and patience are crucial for success in this role, as you'll be working with elderly and disabled populations. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a significant plus, as is medical front office experience. Direct sales or related experience, especially in Medi-Cal, Commercial, or Medicare Managed Care, is also a plus.
