Job Purpose

The Product Manager is responsible for driving the overall product strategy and ensuring continued growth of products offered by Growscape. Key deliverables include product lifecycle management (SKU-level analysis and strategies from launch through rationalization), pro-forma P&L, developing and executing the NPD process and determining cross-functional priorities related to those initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Responsible for managing the product portfolio -

actively involved in shaping product strategy, developing and executing the product roadmap and achieving all related business goals (product line growth, overall profitability, ROI), for manufactured and sourced products serving Growscape's greenhouse, nursery and/or retail markets. Leads the product lifecycle management process . Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) refers to the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to end of life. Owns SKU rationalization process. Tactical activities to ensure a smooth transition to each stage of life, recommend strategic measures as sales show indication of peak and decline. Acts as the "Voice of the Customer"

internally, in conjunction with Sales and Marketing peers, articulating and prioritizing customer needs and defining the value proposition, establishing priority of standard features versus options and nice to have features. The Product Manager is the "Go To" person for customer/sales and internal technical groups, product training, product expertise and acting as a support member of the forecasting team to ensure production timing matches customer expectations. Serves as filter for all NPD requests from customers relayed by the Sales team Develops and executes against a product strategy , in conjunction with Sales and Marketing peers, which includes the growth strategy and pro-forma P&L, for each of the product types and components serving the market. The Product Strategy includes: alignment with the overall company strategy, total and addressable market sizing, customer segmentation and prioritization, customer needs analysis, capabilities assessment and current positioning, competitive advantage (differentiation) and recommendation of pricing strategies. Key deliverables include: product roadmaps and plans outlining the lifecycle from product introduction through service, repair and upgrades. Drives recommendations for

product changes to enhance or maintain competitiveness

and sets product requirements and lifecycle metrics including value engineering and operational cost reduction activities and investment ROI. Stays current on market and competitive developments, proactively informing the larger organization and taking point on mitigation plans. Serves as product champion for NPD

- as a member of the new product development team, the product manager will lead development of products for specific segments including problem definition (Voice of Customer) and objectives, product design/feature requirements, competitive research, cost analysis and ROI, pricing targets and all launch activities. Coordinating with NPD Team on development to customer expectations and fit to complementary items (hangers, trays, dishes), taking lead on launch activities, sales training, marketing collateral, monitoring sales, recommending product updates/improvements or positioning strategies, demand forecasting and pricing strategies, coordination of programs and branding efforts, cost analysis, etc. Possesses a strong understanding of internal technology, the overall development effort and processes as related to total product life cycle and portfolio management.

The Product Manager will effectively collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain customer service and sales to develop new products or enhance existing products or product lines. Serve as the go-to person within the organization for managing the processes necessary to deliver new products and manage the existing portfolio. Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities with product line objectives.

Collaborate with the marketing communications to develop and execute communications strategies and collateral pieces to support product line sales objectives. Support all company policies and procedures

including Safety, 5S and focused work teams across all site locations. Lead by example and perform all job duties

in accordance with Growscape's values and mission. Perform other administrative tasks and special projects assigned. Qualifications

At least 3-5 years B to B marketing/sales/product management background including customer interaction Manufacturing/product management preferred Project or program experience leading a cross-functional team Exposure to horticultural industry preferred Skills & Competencies

Must be analytical in nature and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Must be flexible in working hours including overtime, holidays, and different shifts as required. Must possess good communication/interpersonal skills and get along well with others. Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment. Ability to manage time well. Strong understanding of NPD processes Strong ability to influence without authority Excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Travel as required.
