The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that clinical activities are in full compliance with regulatory guidelines, and ethical principles, and are conducted with operational excellence. This role involves the development and implementation of effective clinical research strategies, as well as the management of all aspects of clinical trials, from startup to closeout. The VP will also be a key advisor to the Executive Team, leading and mentoring the clinical research organization, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team. Applicants for the VP of Clinical Affairs position at the company must have an advanced degree in a life science or related scientific discipline and a minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical research within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry. The role requires a strong knowledge of clinical research principles, GCP guidelines, FDA regulations, and a proven track record in managing and leading clinical trials. Experience in all phases of clinical development, including post-approval, and a background in regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory agencies are essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage budgets, vendors, and quality assurance processes.
